JADE COURTNEY EDWARDS is an Irish/English writer-director. She is drawn to stories around identity and her work reflects an acute interest in moral ambiguity, social injustice, underdogs, outsiders, and female-driven narratives.

She is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts where she obtained a B.F.A. in Film Production and Producing, with a minor in Entertainment Business from Stern School of Business. She was a scholarship recipient and directing fellow of Columbia University's Screenwriting / Directing M.F.A. program where she graduated with Honors.

Jade started her film career as a Creative Executive for Pandemic Film and co-produced their debut feature film starring Jeremy Irons. She has worked on projects with SMUGGLER, Sony Screen Gems, Nu Image, SHFT, Deltree, Dynamic Television, and Apple TV +.

Her scripts have been included in Cine Qua Non’s Revision lab and her pilot was the winner of Showtime’s Tony Cox 30-minute Episodic Competition. Her short films have screened at a multitude of festivals including Florida, Hollyshorts, London Independent, and Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival.

She is a fellow of the BAFTA Newcomer talent initiative.
